Ah, yes, milk is a key trait of chai. You can also replace the milk with soy or almond milk. I’ve used vanilla almond milk by Almond Breeze, and I liked it. It has a slightly different flavor.

These look great! I love the spice combination, although I have to admit that I don’t care for masala chai. (I like the spices, but there’s far too much milk in masala chai for my tastes.)
